Sightseeing Victoria, British Columbia

So much to see on near the Waterfront in Victoria, B.C.
So much to see near the waterfront in Victoria, B.C. At night, the Parliament building (in the background) lights up like a Christmas tree.

Nothing says Victoria, British Columbia like afternoon tea at the Empress hotel, a visit to the Royal British Columbia Museum, a free tour of the Parliament buildings and a stroll along the waterfront. See photos.

Victoria is among most charming and picturesque cities (pop. 330,000) along in the Pacific Northwest. Most ferry rides from Vancouver and Seattle unload here on the waterfront, a great place to lounge, picnic and people watch.  The city is very walkable, so there’s no need for cabs or car rentals.  You can catch most of the major sites along Belleville Street, which is less than a mile in length, simply by peddling your own two feet.
